I remember the first time I ever saw A Christmas Carol. I could not have been more than 4 years old. It was a cartoon musical starring Mr. Magoo and to this day the family prayer, sung around the scant dinner table still brings tears to my eyes.
A Christmas Carol as a one man show? How could it miss? At first I considered performing it as Dickens did over 150 years ago. But to do that would move the emphasis from Christmas to the life and work of Dickens himself and I wanted everyone’s undivided attention on this story of redemption.
